Appetizer Party

Last night (Feb 28th) we had an appetizer party at our house. Kelsey, Ty, David, Jaime, McKade, Susan, Scott, and Susan's parents came over to enjoy the evening. Everyone brought fun appetizers to share and we all ate lots of fun food! We had pork ribs, shrimp cocktail, salami cream cheese roll ups, bobbili pizza, tomato and feta dip, pesto hots, a blooming onion, and fruit kabobs (yes I love kabobs, they are so fun to eat!). For dessert I made Oreo cream cheese swirl brownies and yes they used pretty much every dish in the kitchen but they did taste quite yummy. We all relaxed, played ping-pong, Norwegian horse shoes, cards, and watched some shows. Thanks for the fun party everyone!

Lots of food!

Pizza and Bowling

On February 21st we had some friends over for pizza and then went bowling. It was lots of fun! It is so wonderful to have friends to just unwind and relax with after long work weeks. We had Papa Murphy's Pizza (I love it becasue I get to create my own pizza!) and then we went to Bowlero for some cosmic bowling!

Good Times with Friends

Last night we went over to David and Jaime's house to have some dinner and play games. It is always a good time over there! We played Apples to Apples and Catch Phrase. I got to hold the precious little McKade who is growing so much and so adorable! Jaime made some yoummy truffles that were cookie dough and oreo. Daivd's good friend Brian was visiting from San Diego and it was fun to meet him!

Mama Pelto Visits

My mom was visiting Idaho Falls for the last week and a half. It was so much fun to have her here. She got here on February 5th and I went in for sinus surgery on February 6th. She helped non-stop with cooking, cleaning, and taking care of me while I was on pain pills from surgery! After I was feeling a little better we were able to go see He's Not That into You, it was cute, and do some shopping! It was so much fun having her here and it is always sad to say good-bye. I love you mom!

Valentine's Day

The day of love! Well after having sinus surgery and having large splints up my nose, I was feeling much better. My mom was visiting to help take care of me after surgery so we got to celebrate with her with was wonderful! Jake made us a wonderful dinner and then we had heart funfetti cakes to top it off!

Scott's Birthday

On February 4th we celebrated Scott's birthday at Iggy's. His wife, Susan, arranged a surprise party for him. He was very surprised and we all had a blast! And yes...he did get his Arctic Circle gift card!

McKade's Blessing

On February 1st we got to go to baby McKade's blessing! He was so darn adorable in his little white tux!!! After the blessing we went back to the Westlunds for a fun dinner party. Jake particularly loved the guacamole and the home style fries!

Girls and Boys Weekends

The last weekend in January the girls and boys split for the weekend. The boys headed to Jackpot, NV, to gamble away their money and eat a seafood and steak buffet! The girls went to Park City, UT, to pick up Kels' mom and shop till we drop. We had a great time at the outlets and Ti Pan Trading , a huge home decore store in Salt Lake City. The quote of the week was "Charlie you bit my finger!" Click to watch the video (as Susan says, it will change your life!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV9PZk8ojF0

Birthday Time!

We celebrated my birthday on January 3rd. And let me say...Jake threw quite a party!!! From the decorations, to the dinner, to the cake, to the games it was so much fun! Kels helped with the table decorations and Jake cooked a wonderful chicken parmesan! Then Jake made a two layer funfetti cake with pink frosting! We played some games and then opened presents. Thank you to everyone for making my birthday so special! I am very blessed!

So cute!

Housemate!

On January 2nd we had a new housemate move in! One of Jake's best friends from Malta, Brian, is doing his student teaching down in Idaho Falls. It has been lots of fun having him here! He has fit right in with week night tv shows, cooking dinners (it is wonderful!), and having a good time!
